Oklahoma Woman Quartet – Live Performance
Composer and vocalist Anjelica Lindsey (Cherokee Nation) performs her song cycle Oklahoma Woman Quartet alongside distinguished string players, including violinist Gina Costanza Davis. The work, the first string quartet written by a Cherokee woman composer, explores Indigenous memory, place, and contemporary experience.

This performance was featured as the opening program of Winter Talk 2026, hosted by the Center for Indigenous Ministries.

OKLAHOMA WOMAN QUARTET

The World Premiere of the Composer’s Orchestration of Oklahoma Woman Quartet took place on October 1, 2025, at 101 Archer, Oklahoma Center for Humanities in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This groundbreaking chamber work by Cherokee-American composer Anjelica Lindsey, written for string quartet and voice, explored identity and reclamation through the voice of the modern Indigenous woman.
