Anjelica Lindsey’s Oklahoma Woman Quartet Comes to Tulsa Performing Arts Center’s Westby Pavilion

On October 7, 2026, Anjelica Lindsey will present Oklahoma Woman Quartet as part of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center’s Brown Bag It free noontime concert series. The performance will take place at 12:10 p.m. in the Westby Pavilion.
An original song cycle for string quartet and voice, Oklahoma Woman Quartet explores modern Indigenous womanhood and contemporary lived experience through Lindsey’s perspective as a Cherokee woman composer.
The Brown Bag It series offers audiences an informal setting to experience professional musicians while learning more about the music being performed. Each approximately 40-minute concert includes opportunities for musicians to provide background and program information, creating a direct connection between performers and audience.
The October 7 performance offers Tulsa audiences an opportunity to experience Oklahoma Woman Quartet in the city where the work was developed and recorded, and to encounter a contemporary chamber work grounded in Cherokee identity and Oklahoma experience.
The concert is free, family-friendly, and no tickets or reservations are required. Audiences are welcome to bring lunch and join the performance at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
